The Prosecco Hills UNESCO Tour is more than a wine experience — it is a journey into the landscape, traditions and lifestyle of one of the most beautiful wine regions in Italy.
Sei curioso di degustare il Prosecco DOCG proprio nel territorio in cui viene coltivato?
This tour is especially meaningful to me, because I was born in the Valdobbiadene area. These hills are not just a destination — they are part of my personal story. During this experience, she will take you through the territory I consider home, sharing places, stories and traditions that only someone deeply connected to this land can truly tell.
You can meet me in Venice, Treviso or directly in Valdobbiadene, depending on your travel plans. From there, you will reach the heart of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG area and discover why this landscape has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Have you ever wanted to taste Prosecco DOCG exactly where it is grown? During this tour, you will walk through the breathtaking slopes of the Cartizze hills, a very small production area of only about 107 hectares where the prestigious Superiore di Cartizze is produced in limited quantities.
During the Prosecco Hills UNESCO Tour, you will learn the difference between DOC and DOCG production areas and discover the famous 43 “rive” — steep vineyards with unique microclimates where grapes are still harvested entirely by hand, representing one of the best examples of heroic viticulture in Europe.
After the walk, the experience continues with a tasting of Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Cartizze in a small family-run winery, where you will experience authentic local hospitality. We will also stop at the historic headquarters of the Confraternity of Prosecco, which still gathers today to select the best Prosecco of the year.
This Prosecco Hills UNESCO Tour is fully customisable. You can combine the panoramic walk with visits to one or more wineries and scenic viewpoints. And, if you wish, visits to historic abbeys or hermitages hidden in the hills.
I can also recommend traditional local osterie if you would like to include a relaxed lunch experience featuring authentic local cuisine.
