Together, we step into the golden atmosphere of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, exploring the private home and atelier where Fortuny created some of the most innovative artistic works of his time. This is where art, science, light, textiles, and photography came together to shape a completely unique creative world.
Inside this stunning late Gothic Venetian palace — once known as Pesaro degli Orfei — you will walk through a recently redesigned exhibition that truly brings Fortuny’s universe to life.
During this Fortuny Museum Venice guided tour, you will explore two exhibition floors dedicated to Mariano Fortuny’s artistic universe.
You will discover his iconic lamps with their timeless retro elegance, the extraordinary dresses created for the femme fatales of the Belle Époque, his revolutionary textile printing techniques, and his groundbreaking lighting inventions.
Equally fascinating are his photographs, which reveal the intimate daily life of his atelier — shared with his wife and creative partner Henriette — and offer a glimpse into the refined social world of Belle Époque Venice.
The experience is enriched by works from the Civic Museums of Venice, including paintings, plaster works, and Murano glass pieces from Ca’ Pesaro, Museo Correr, and the Murano Glass Museum.
