Treviso Guided Walking Tour – A Hidden Gem Beyond Venice
Why not escape the crowds of busy Venice for a few hours and discover a different side of the Veneto region?
Since 2017, I have designed this Treviso guided walking tour to show travellers the city the way I truly experience it — slow, authentic and full of hidden beauty. Together we will walk along quiet canals, discover hidden corners and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that makes Treviso so special.
By the end of the tour, many travellers tell me they fall in love with Treviso — its waterways, its peaceful rhythm and its elegant historic streets.
Discover Treviso’s History and Most Iconic Places
During this experience, I will introduce you to the history of the city through its most important landmarks, including the Cathedral of Treviso (home of the Titian altarpiece), Palazzo dei Trecento, the historic arcades of Calmaggiore, Pescheria Island, the Church of San Francesco, the Renaissance City Walls and the canals of the Buranelli.
Treviso is also a city of literature and art. Dante mentioned it in the Divine Comedy as the place “where the Sile and Cagnan rivers meet”. The city is also the birthplace of artists such as Arturo Martini, Gino Rossi and Giovanni Comisso.
Taste the Original Tiramisù in Treviso
We will finish in the best possible way — discovering the story behind the original tiramisù and tasting it in the city where it was born.
