With my family-friendly Jewish Ghetto private tour, a private and exclusive experience, I guide you through the heart of the world’s first Jewish Ghetto, leading you along quiet alleyways, fascinating details and places filled with memory and atmosphere.
I am Valentina, an officially authorized guide of the Jewish Community of Venice and the Rabbi, certified to accompany visitors inside the synagogues — an important element that makes this tour even more authentic and meaningful.

Together we will discover the tall houses of the Ghetto, hidden symbols, surprising historical characters and the stories that shaped the life of the Venetian Republic.

During the tour we will stop in a small local bakery to taste traditional Jewish sweets.

Synagogues and memory (on request)
If you wish, we can also visit the 16th-century synagogues: elegant spaces rich in symbolism, which I will guide with explanations suitable for all ages thanks to my official authorization.
We will approach the history of the Shoah with great care and sensitivity, focusing above all on themes of courage, solidarity and humanity.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
What the tour includes:
We start from San Geremia Church to admire the Ponte delle Guglie, the historic entrance to the Old Ghetto, the exterior of Campiello delle Scole and Campo del Ghetto Novo.
On request, it is possible to visit the interiors of the Levantine and Spanish Synagogues. Important: the synagogues are closed to the public on Saturdays and during Jewish holidays. Please contact me in advance to plan your visit.
